ABOUT
In 2018, we had the opportunity to work with the nonprofit The Ally Coalition on their collaboration with the band Bleachers for their Southwest + West Coast tour. Together with Freedom for All Americans, the organization had presence on the band’s tour to promote federal protections for LGBTQ people in the US. Our task was to create compelling graphics and copy for announcements, social media, and flyers.
PROCESS
To further engage fans, local partners were present at each tour stop to educate fans about the cause and to have them sign a petition in support. In California, members of the band participated in a service project at the LGBT Center of Sacramento to promote community involvement. The success of our messaging and graphics not only spread information about Freedom for All Americans' mission, but also encouraged fans to volunteer their time for service projects alongside the band and learn more about local LGBTQ organizations at each tour stop.
